Booking Terms

Please ensure that you have held a full Drivers Licence or Provisional Drivers Licence for a minimum of 12 months before commencing your Q-Ride Course.

Cancellation

A minimum of 30 days’ notice for cancellation is required to result in a full refund.

If you provide less than 30 days’ notice you are not entitled to a refund.

Rescheduling

A minimum of seven days’ notice is required to reschedule a course at no additional cost.

If you reschedule your course with less than seven days’ notice you will be charged a $99 rescheduling fee.

Medical Certificate

Medical certificates may be provided to Bikecraft to provide exemption from our Refund or Cancellation Policy.

Participant to Participant Transfer

Can be made up to three days prior to commencement of the course.

Cancellation by Bikecraft

Bikecraft reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to unforeseen circumstances and/or circumstances beyond our control.

Should this occur, registered participants will be notified by email or telephone and offered to re-schedule or be issued with a credit. Bikecraft is not liable for any claims arising from course cancellation.

MINIMUM COURSE participants

We require a minimum of two riders to schedule each course. If course enrolments do not meet minimum requirements, we will advise as soon as possible, giving you the opportunity to re-schedule or receive a full refund of your deposit.

Course Credit

Course credit is provided at the discretion of Bikecraft and where offered, must be used within three months of the date of issue.

Weather

Bikecraft courses continue unless the trainer deems it unfit to ride on the day. Therefore the course will continue unless you are advised otherwise. 

Forfeit of course and monies paid

‘No show’: If you fail to attend your scheduled course, for any reason, including weather conditions, work and family commitments, mechanical issues etc, you will not be entitled to a refund or to reschedule and the total amount of the course fee will be forfeited.

Bike unfit to ride: A bike unfit to ride is a bike that is not roadworthy, registered or within the suitable class for the course. If Bikecraft deem your motorcycle unfit to ride, you are not entitled to a refund or to reschedule and the total amount of the course fee will be forfeited.

Participant unfit to ride: If you do not have the correct PPE ( long pants, enclosed shoes, gloves, helmet, and jacket) or you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will not be entitled to a refund or to reschedule, and the total amount of the course fee will be forfeited. Bikecraft reserve the right to make an informed decision whether a participant is unfit to ride. 

Damage Liability

The participant is fully responsible for any damage caused to Bikecraft motorcycles, protective equipment and property. Any damage caused needs to be paid for in full within 14 days of the damage being caused. Damage will be calculated on a case-by-case basis.

As a Q-Ride service provider, we are required to provide all students prior to enrolment the information on the following:

You fully understand the requirements of obtaining a QLD motorcycle learner, provisional and open licence.

You have booked into the correct motorcycle training or Q-ride licence course for your needs. If you are not sure that this is the case, we recommend you contact us to confirm.

You have read in full, the information regarding the course you have booked into and understand the requirements you need to meet to be admitted to and complete the course successfully.

You acknowledge and agree to Bikecraft Motorcycle Rider Training (Bikecraft’s) refund and cancellation policy.

You acknowledge that you are required to wear motorcycle protective gear (gloves, helmet, jacket, jeans/long pants, and enclosed shoes with ankle protection). Bikecraft can supply gloves, helmet, and jacket but you are required to wear jeans/long pants and enclosed shoes. If you use your own helmet you understand that it must be the required Australian standards. You understand that if you are not wearing the required clothing you may be refused to sit the course, in which case you will forfeit your booking and total amount of the booking fee and will be required to re-book and pay the full fee again if you wish to complete the course.

You understand that if you are more than ten minutes late for your course, you may be refused to participate in the course in which case you will forfeit the full course fee and will be required to re-book and pay the full fee again to complete the course.

You understand that if you are supplying your own motorcycle it must be roadworthy, registered and the correct class (LAMS approved or non-LAMS approved).  If not, you may be refused to sit the course, in which case you will forfeit the course fee and will be required to re-book and pay the full fee again if you wish to complete the course.

You acknowledge that Bikecraft will not tolerate any student being disruptive, disrespectful, using inappropriate language or discriminating against other students or staff members. You understand that if you participate in any of the above behaviour you may be removed from the course, in which case you will forfeit your booking and total amount of the booking fee and will be required to re-book and pay the course fee again if you wish to complete the course.

 

You acknowledge that at times during the course crew may take photos or video for use in promotional and social media campaigns. You acknowledge your acceptance in participating in these activities and for Bikecraft to use these photos/videos for said purpose.

You accept that Bikecraft is not liable for any injury or damage caused by you or another rider.

You acknowledge that the instructor’s decision is final and any attempt to bribe, bully or coerce will be immediately reported to the correct authorities.
